London Fashion Week A/W 2010 - Burberry Prorsum

The main that cought my eye in this collection were the bomber jackets and beautifully cut coats. Also the olive shade of green was very interesting. Not to mention the fluffy fur coat and over knee boots.

Emma Cook Fashion Film

Emma Cook A/W10 from AnOther Magazine on Vimeo.

As a part of British Fashion Council's first digital schedule Emma Cook chose a fashion film over runaway. In Anothermag.com the stylist Cathy Edwards said: “ With film, you can streamline the idea and how the end product looks. When you do a show, you let the collection go out and then it’s gone: you never see it from the outside, as a viewer, like you can with film.”

3D Burberry

Burberry made fashion history, once again! Many labels had their shows streamed live in internet, besides this, Burberry also showed their show in 3D in Paris, Tokyo, Dubai and New York. Customers were able to buy clothes and accessories immediately after the show from their website. This is what I would call clever use of media!

See the amazing video, including the show, from their website live.burberry.com.
Collection itself was beautiful, I'll post pictures later!

London Fashion Week A/W 2010 - Aquastuctum

This is one of the best collections I have seen so far. Beautiful cuts and a clear theme which continues through the collection although some pieces are maybe a bit too sophisticated and mature to my taste.

London Fashion Week A/W 2010 - Charles Anastase

Charles Anastase's collection was called "Winter Garden" and the woman he was dressing up in his mind was called "Crazy Gardener".
I thought it was hilarious and I have a smile in my face as I look at these pictures, I can clearly see the Crazy Gardener.

London Fashion Week A/W 2010 - Twenty8Twelve

Miller's sisters decided to have only a presentation instead of a fashion show, as they said they don't claim to be desingers. Anyway, their collection was amazing, very commercial but not too much and it included all the key trends for the next season, only fur was missing. In the other hand, Savannah Miller IS an educated fashion designer. And educated or not, Sienna Miller clearly has a great fashion sense although she was known as an actress before turning in to a fashion designer.

London Fashion Week A/W 2010 - Todd Lynn

Todd Lynn Fall 2010 collection has very interesting cuts. The collection was colored by beige and brown shades teamed with black. For many designers autum/winter 2010 seems to be all about fur, which is quite interesting as in my native country Finland Minister of Labour Anni Sinnemäki, who is also chair of the Green League, just announced that their party's view is that fur farming should be banned in Finland to follow the example of Austria, Denmark and UK, the countries which have already banned caged fur farming.
